Ok, so I thought that this went back to the WW2 Nazi ideals of "Building ze Master Race" and thought it stupid. But apparently there's more to it than what I was taught in school.
A while back, I had heard that the USA had started a eugenics program long before Hitler ever did. I thought it was just a bunch of crazy talk, but what the heck, I looked it up.
http://www.eugenicsarchive.org What the hell? they have a website??? Yep, they got a whole website and you can even search their files and such for scanned images of the old documents. Like from the early 1900's. We (usa) did have a freaking Eugenics movement, and there were 27 states that actually legalized the sterilization of undesirables.
