UFO's are Real, Tru Phakt !

Ok, for years upon years everyone knows that UFO's and "Space Aliens" are just a figment of fiction and crackpots... and, of course, a really good reason for Mulder and Scully to tramp around in the forest.

But now the Vatican says it's "Ok to believe " them?
What the?? Who the? Oh My!

I was struck the other day by three separate articles that I read in the daily news.

Story 1) UK releases their UFO documented cases. But denies that their government officials have ever chatted with any of the Aliens.
Story 2) The Vatican - head science officer says that it's ok to believe life exists outside of Earth. Heck those Aliens might not have been touched with Original Sin.
Story 3) Astronauts - Aliens are Real, Japanese Government Denies Contact.

That's right, these are stories from the Associated Press and BBC News. Not just some crackpot with an internet connection and a beer. These are some "accredited news sources'.

Now, you might be asking "what's the big deal?" (or maybe not, but...) and my response is that it seems like a strong shift of culture or policy to go from most all governments denying them, to where the Vatican and UK government are calling it "common" and nothing to worry about.

Please note that when I say "most all governments" I mean that in Mexico they have been talking about it for years. Mexico City had saucers over much of the city, daily for a while there. Everyone knew about them back in 1997. You can search Youtube and find local newscasts from those days. Did it change anything? nope.

In May of 2001, a group called "The Disclosure Project" headed down to Washington, DC and held a press conference in the National Press Club. They had Facts, Figures, Radar Readouts, and a whole lineup of people, each with their own "I'm no Crackpot" credentials.
Did anything happen? Are we flying around in cars powered by "Zero-Point-Energy"? yeah, didn't think so.
